Summer School (SOAR)

Summer SOAR Grain Valley's summer school program is here! There will be multiple class offerings this summer for students of all ages. These enrichment opportunities are offered by teachers in our district and are designed to maximize student engagement, creativity, and collaboration.

Summer SOAR will take place from June 1 to June 26, 2026 and there will be no school on June 19th in celebration of Juneteenth. Students will have the option of bringing their own lunch or eating a school lunch.

Summer school will be held at Prairie Branch Elementary, Stony Point Elementary, and South Middle School for both middle school and high school students.

Hours:
• Elementary (entering Kindergarten - 5th grade): 8:00 am to 2:55 pm
• Middle School (entering 6th grade to 8th grade): 7:30 am to 2:15 pm
• High School (entering 9th grade to 12th grade): 8:00 am to 2:30 pm

Transportation to and from Summer SOAR is the responsibility of the parent. District transportation services are not available. Parent drop-off/pick-up will be at the main entrance. We will offer transportation to and from the high school for those taking part in sports camps.

Starting Kindergarten in 2026?

Students who will start Kindergarten in August 2026 can get a jump start on being classroom ready. Participating in classes will help young learners increase confidence, build relationships, understand expectations and become familiar with the classroom environment and routine - all while having fun.
