Our mission is to enhance, supplement or complement programs and activities provided by the district, and to assist students to help them reach their full potential in their K-12 experience, at the next level and in life.

Recent ways the Education Foundation has supported groups, schools, and programs


Annual golf event raised over $8,000 to be split with the Booster Club and Activities Department. Donations to the Dr. Roy Moss Memorial Scholarship fund have exceeded $17,000. Sponsored the Homecoming Alumni Tent at the football game, feeding the alumni and their families. Sponsored a breakfast on the Saturday morning after the Homecoming game, feeding the students decorating for the dance; also fed GVHS alumni and their families, and conducted tours of the High School. Held an informational meeting about the 529 Scholarship Program for parents. Awarded grants for: Replacement items for the SNAG golf program (elementary PE), Food for the High School Choir clinic, and Breakfast for the All Pro Dads and students at Prairie Branch Elementary. Awarded nearly $10,000 in Teacher Classroom Grants. Started several New Scholarships. Helped sponsor students for Girls and Boys State, and HOBY leadership training. Awarded a $2,500 grant to GVTV to help expand their broadcast capabilities. Booster Club received over $7,000 for their partnership with the golf event and webcast advertising. Partnered with Prairie Branch and the Prairie Branch PTA to purchase choir risers; the Foundation contributed one third of the total cost. Partnered with Papa Murphy’s to feed over 450 students and volunteers at the area Job Olympics. Fed the players, coaches and volunteers at a hot dog roast following the annual High School Baseball Day of Service. Major Saver Card sales raised over $20,000 for the schools and the Education Foundation, to be split 50/50. Dr. Roy Moss Golf Event raised over $8,000 for the Foundation.
