First-grade students are hard at work mastering their letters. During class, they took time to work on the pronunciation of letters, listen for the sounds, and write the letters in sand to piece everything together. 
 

Aaron Hooper Named Chief Financial Officer

Grain Valley Schools is pleased to announce that Aaron Hooper has been selected as the district's Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Mr. Hooper will oversee the district's financial operations and ensure alignment with the district's fiscal goals. 

Aaron Hooper previously served Grain Valley Schools as Director of Finance and brings a wealth of school finance experience. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a certification in Education Finance from Georgetown University, and a certification as an Administrator of School Finance and Operations from the Association of School Business Officials International (ISBO). Mr. Hooper also currently serves as an active board member for the Missouri Association of School Business Officials (MOASBO). 

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Amanda Allen states, "Aaron's deep expertise in school finance, paired with his dedication to our community, will be vital in safeguarding our financial well-being and supporting the continued progress of Grain Valley Schools."

Aaron Hooper will step into this role next week.

Homecoming Week in the Valley!

Homecoming is here! 
Join us at Moody Murry Field for Homecoming tonight, Friday, October 9th. Kickoff will be at 7:00 pm. Card sales are available at the gate, and all tickets should be purchased through Go Fan.

Alumni Tent:
During the Grain Valley High School football game, the Grain Valley Education Foundation will host their annual Alumni Tent. This tent is open to all GVHS alumni and their families. Free hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks will be provided while supplies last. There will be space to sit and catch up with old friends or make new ones, all while cheering on the Eagles football team!

Grain Valley Hall Of Fame Induction: 
Grain Valley Schools is honored to induct several new alumni into the Grain Valley Hall of Fame. Brian Wilke (Class of 1976), Sara Wilke (Class of 2002),  Tyler Wilke (Class of 2003), Ethan Macoubrie (Class of 2018), and Hunter Newsome  (Class of 2021) have been chosen for this prestigious recognition and will be honored for their accomplishments during their time as Grain Valley students. The 2026 inductees will be recognized before kickoff at the homecoming game on Friday, October 9th.
