GVHS senior, Molly Jones, etched her name into the program history books on September 8, 2026, recording her 300th career strikeout during the Eagles' 5-2 home-opener win over Truman. Jones delivered a masterpiece from the mound, racking up her 38th strikeout of the season to hit the 300th career strikeout mark and secure her fifth win of the year. The milestone cements a dominant start to her campaign, bringing her season record to 5-0 with a 1.00 ERA while holding opposing batters to a .125 average. Her milestone night kept the varsity squad undefeated at 8-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

"300 strikeouts is a really nice accomplishment for Mojo. She's always been one of our main pitchers, but because of our depth at the position, she has had to split time in the circle with some other really good pitchers. To record 300 strikeouts with fewer opportunities than some other pitchers we've faced just goes to show how incredible she has been in the circle since she joined us as a Freshman," said Coach Flip Courter.
