Grain Valley Schools Announces Dr. Brandi Gump as Assistant Superintendent of Academic and Student Services

Dr. Brandi Gump has been named the Assistant Superintendent of Academic and Student Services, beginning July 1, 2026. Dr. Gump has been with Grain Valley Schools for nine years, and currently serves as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Gump previously served as Matthews Elementary Principal and Matthews Assistant Principal. Dr. Gump has 20 years of experience in public education, serving as a teacher, instructional facilitator, principal, and director.
Dr. Gump earned her bachelor's, master's, and specialist degrees at the University of Central Missouri and holds a doctorate in educational leadership from St. Louis University.
Incoming Superintendent Dr. Amanda Allen shared her excitement, stating, "Dr. Gump's emphasis on clarity and the development of capacity through professional development makes her the ideal candidate for this position. Her unwavering passion for student success, coupled with her meticulous attention to detail and expertise in instructional design, will undoubtedly continue to serve her exceptionally well in this new capacity.”
The process to fill the Director of Curriculum and Instruction role will begin right away.
