School Supply Lists for 2025-2026 School Year
All kindergarten school supplies are donated by Valley Community Church. Students will be required to bring their own backpacks (no wheels) and a pair of over-the-ear headphones (no earbuds or wireless/bluetooth). If any of these items may cause your family hardship, please contact your students school for assistance.
High school students will receive their supply lists from teachers the first two days of school.

Meals, Menu's, and Money
MealViewer to Go is a new website and mobile app where parents and students can check out meal options, nutritional information, and more! Visit their website at www.mealviewer.com or download the app, available on Apply or Android.
Please take advantage of our pre-payment opportunities for school lunches. Prepaid lunch accounts help our lunch lines go faster and give students more time to eat. Online payments can be made through MySchoolBucks. You can also send cash or a check by dropping it off personally or sending it with your student to school.

Did you know that thousands of families already qualify for free and reduced-price school meals? It's easier than ever to see if you might qualify, too! Not only are students able to eat school meals for a free or reduced price, but there is also a surprising amount of other benefits you qualify for, too. These include things like reduced price Chromebook insurance, local scholarship opportunities and tuition assistance, reduced fees on sports and activities, discounts on academic assessments, and more!

Volunteer at our Schools for 2025-2026
We welcome and encourage parents and guardians to volunteer at our schools! To ensure the safety of our students, all volunteers must complete a background check every other year. This includes reviewing and accepting the volunteer guidelines and completing the required training before participating in any volunteer activities, including field trips.
Please note the turnaround of background checks may take up to 72 hours+, so please plan accordingly.

Sign up for Valley Kids for 2025-2026
The Valley Kids Before and After School Program is offered at each elementary school building for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. The program is year-round from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM with some breaks during the school year. Scheduled non-school days and snow days during the school year are held at Sni-A-Bar Elementary, located at 701 SW Eagles Pkwy, Grain Valley, MO 64029.

Community Engagement Opportunities
We invite you to be part of shaping the future of education in our district by joining one of our Community Engagement Committees for the 2025–2026 school year. These committees provide a unique opportunity for families and community members to engage directly with district leaders and educators through open, honest conversations and thoughtful collaboration. Whether you're interested in school finance, curriculum, or just want to support our students and staff in a meaningful way, we welcome your perspective.
Each committee meets 1-4 times during the school year for 1-3 hours at a time.
